We think you’ll like this short film produced by the Victorian Credit Co-operative Association (VCCA) in the 1970s. It features scenes around Melbourne, exteriors of Beechworth Credit Co-operative, transactions in a credit union branch, family life and begins with some older archival vision.

This newly available footage comes to you thanks to our latest film and video digitisation drive. We have recently digitised our entire collection of 16mm films produced in the 1950s through to the 1990s. Many of the films are educational productions by the American credit union peak body CUNA that were distributed worldwide. There’s also a film produced by the Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions in Taiwan in the 1970s. Local productions include many made for City Coast Credit Union in the Illawarra region of NSW who were clearly big believers in promotional films. We will bring more of these to you soon and they are all available for your perusal upon request.
